Websites that will help you use technology to enhance literacy in the classroom

 

 

1. Sign up for igoggle at: https://www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount?continue=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Faccounts%2FManageAccount

 

Click on Add Stuff in the upper-right hand side.

Add Bookmarks. Click Add it now.

Next, add Google Docs.

2. Use student e-mail with your students.  Students need an email account to access many Web 2.0 websites.  

 

 

3. Use your online textbook (this is the link to Holt Rinehard & Winston):  on-line textbook.  Sign up using the ISBN number from the teacher’s edition.

My students annotate in the online student notebook as we read.  I also assign some of the online writing prompts and HRW grades them too!

4. Use a blog to communicate with students at Edublog

The blog I use to communicate with students is called Mrs. Seale's 9th Grade English Class.

My personal to communicate with other educators is called Enhanced English Teacher.
